School PE Uniform
We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new, official PE uniform for Silvermines National School starting this coming September.
Our Parents’ Association has been instrumental in choosing and designing the new PE uniform top, ensuring it is both practical and stylish for our students. This decision to modernise our school sports gear has been fully backed and approved by the Silvermines NS Board of Management.
The new PE uniform will be worn on PE days and the formal school uniform will be worn on all other days.
The new PE uniform consists of the following items:
- Official PE Top: A custom-designed navy, blue, and white Half-Zip.
- Cost: €25.00 (Initials can also be place on the top for an additional €4.00)
- How to Order: Pre-orders can be placed online directly through the manufacturer at www.dssports.ie.
- Deadline: The pre-order window is open now and will close on Friday, 10th July.

In an effort to keep costs down for families, the remainder of the PE uniform is completely unbranded. Parents are asked to pair the half-zip top with plain navy shorts and plain navy tracksuit bottoms. To ensure affordability, these unbranded items can be purchased easily from high-street retailers such as Dunnes Stores or Tesco.
